COVID SAFETY GUIDELINES – With continued guidance from medical professionals and closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation, we are taking precautions here to ensure that our facilities remain clean and safe. Hand sanitizer is located throughout the building. Water fountains have been covered. Our restrooms have antimicrobial soap available – please remember to wash your hands often. Avoid touching your face and cover coughs/sneezes. Avoid handshakes and hugging, if possible. Masks will not be required but please feel free to wear one. If you have COVID-19, symptoms of COVID-19 or have been exposed to anyone who is experiencing symptoms or has recently tested positive, please help our church and community by staying home and enjoying our Sunday morning Facebook Livestream (Wade Baptist) at 8:15 am.

DEACON RESULTS/ORDINATION SERVICE – Our new deacons are Marc Beech, Buddy Davis, Don Miller, Jens Pedersen, Jr., Marshall Price and Steve Rudolph. Please be in prayer for these men as they prepare to undertake the responsibilities of serving. The Ordination service for Marshall Price is Wednesday, October 6, at 6:30 pm.

FAREWELL FOR MERRITT & STEFINIE VISE – Our Student Ministry Associate, Merritt Vise, has done a phenomenal job working with Wade Students and has been a constant voice for our youth for the past 18 months! He is now entering a new phase in his life as he is in grad school to pursue his degree in Occupational Therapy. This unfortunately does not give him much availability in his personal life, but with the small amount of time that he does have, he plans to volunteer at The Bridge as they continue to grow. WBC wishes Merritt success in his future endeavors, and we offer a heartfelt thanks for all of the work and commitment he has shown to our WBC family. In lieu of a farewell fellowship, please feel free to express your appreciation and well wishes for Merritt & Stefinie in cards! We have placed baskets in all three sanctuary foyers. Please have cards returned to church no later than Wednesday, September 29.

MEDIA TEAM VOLUNTEERS – WBC is looking for volunteers for our Tech Teams. Use your tech-related talents and hobbies for the Lord. Lights, sound, photography, computers, etc. – your help and a little time are needed. Please contact the church office (228-588-3356) today with any questions or to let us know you would like to help!

WORSHIP BY GIVING – Giving is a part of our worship at Wade. Since we don’t pass the offering plates like we used to, we want to make giving as convenient as possible for you by installing new secure offering boxes in the front foyer. We will still have ushers at the doors as you exit services as well as our other drop boxes and online giving options. Your giving supports important missions and resources necessary to change lives with the Gospel!

VISITATION – WBC’s Congregational Care ministry (visitation outreach) is always in need of members willing to go out into the community to visit other members, including our homebound members. They reach out to those who have visited our church, and they spread God’s Word into the community. If you are interested in being a part of this ministry, please call the church office at 228-588-3356.
